I graduated twleve years or so ago from high school. There were about 250 people graduating from this fine high school. The really macabre thing about the whole thing is I think fifty people have died since we graduated. Which when I tell some people they go that does not sound too bad. Well it is. My former classmates have died in unusual and often painful ways. One guy I knew Mark VanKirk, he died before we graduated, is the reason all the Coke machines have those stickers that proclaim "Do Not Rock The Machine". That was bizarre, and the more I think about it the more bizarre it gets. Another fellow Terry Woodward died after plowing his car into a parked Blue Angels plane. One of my close friends died of heart problems, it was not very recent, but I still miss him. There are others, but those really stand out. One thing that all of those deaths have done, is as a class we are all somewhat close, there are always benefits going on and other things along that thread. Well I messed up. I have known Yvonne since second grade. I have always been good friends with her until like ten years ago. That is when she met one of my former girlfriends, and let us just say, one lesson I have learned is girls do not play good with other girls, but that is besides the point. Well Yvonne was diagnosed with skin cancer and is most likely not going to recover. And to make a long story short it was last Sunday and I did not go, because for some strange reason I forgot. The kicker is I wrote it down all over the place, on every single calender I own, and I still forgot.

Well I am here at work early, because I am getting paid to read this silly book called "who moved the cheese" It is a book about four mice who I am assuming represents people trying to get money and who have to change. The book by itself is not all that bad, but what the managers see is that the workers should be able to take less money for doing more because change is good. I do not know if that is the authors real moral, but the way the company is acting that is what they are infering is we should be lucky to have a job, and we will be getting more shit to do.. another point I think the author is trying to make is that money is not everything, which I agree with, but I want enough money to live. Pristine said that they actually read that book out loud to her and group before they got axed. So far I think I almost understand why they would do that. it is a little feelgood book with alot of buzzwords and crap. This book must have been profiled at one of those "Leadership" seminars. Well I ended up taking Monday off, My sister came into town. She lives four hours away so it is always a good time. Her husband is really cool, he works for Junior acheivement and My sister keeps him on a pretty short leash, so when he visits we have a good time, then my sister complains that I corrupt him, which is alright, because if she was not complaining about that she would complain about something else. Sunday Me and Pete stayed up late drinking Glennfiddich playing Yahtzee (which is an ideal game to play when you are getting drunk) then waking up on Monday and playing golf. It was so cool playing hooky. I left my boss high and dry, and the internet connection was down nothing got accomplished, on the downside of not working Monday, was now I have at least about three hours of reading blogs. Today, I am working at a snail's pace because now they are talking about restructuring the company, and really turning me into a whore. I do alot of little crap that noone else wants to do now, but they are talking about giving me more crap to do with still no raises. Time to really start looking, I wish I was not so afraid of change. On a lighter note, I am trying to decide what I want this page to look like, I am sure that it will be different really soon, keep your eyeballs open! The weather here has been damn good, ideal Michigan weather. About 55-60 degrees and no clouds.

If you ever want to read a well written, and I do mean a very well written blog check out Blind Optimism He has a book coming out, called Travels I think, I am keeping an eye out for it

soon I will have my favorite blog links posted

Oh another thing to the person who thinks I stole his fonts and color...umm yeah whatever live in your little fantasy world if you want, I do not care

Warning! Whining with possible self pity ahead!Well I have finally arrived to the point that I have been trying to avoid. I no longer care for my job. The shop has been getting more and more slow this last year, and they have laid off 3/4 of the shop. they are getting ready to lay off more people. The good news is I am really sure that I will not be one of the people who is losing their jobs. The bad news is in the next two weeks, I am going to have new responsibilites to go along with the crap I do now. Another piece of good news is I have been looking and interviewing and guess what I get overpaid right now! I have a damn fine interview and when I start discussing what I want to get paid, they give me this weird look like they are thinking "this guy gets paid this much?" The owner of the company that I currently work for said that I could start doing contract work for this one company that we used to own (which we just sold off) When I went down to talk about how much I was going to charge him, I gave him a price of $200 dollars a job. Which is a very good price because the company that he hired is charging him $280 for less work. So I would give him more, and charge him less. Well Bruce (the owner of this outside company) said, " Oh I do not even have that much budgeted for the job" which was a total lie, because I used to work extensively with that part of the business, I know how much he quotes jobs for, I know the majority of his expenses, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt so thinking he would counter offer like maybe $100-$150 a job I said "well what were you thinking?" and get this he goes "I was thinking like thirty or fourty dollars". To me that was a slap in the face! I mean if you want your grass mowed you would end up paying that much and seeing how the jobs would take like six hours of my own personal time I just said in my most professional voice "umm let me get back with you on that" I have not returned his phone calls and I will not talk to him again.

I got stuff to post, but I am too damn busy at work to, maybe on wed. I read most of the blogs on dfw and would have to agree with her in the idea that I always thought that that group was very nonpolitical as a group, but they are political by themselves, there are a few that are very good political reading...But anyways I digress I personally do not think displaying a flag is a big deal, but I would not like displaying a flag of Afghanistan with a mushroom cloud. But I am not a member of that group. I just hope everything can be worked out, I have noticed since 9.11 her and another of my favorite blogs thinkdink has been a little more quiet. Not that I am their boss, but I enjoy their opinions. What am I to do I have already played half an hour of unreal, read every single blog I have a bookmark to, walked around the empty shop, I guess I should try and get to work..nah I will update my blog. I had a plethora of bizarre ass dreams. They wake me up twice last night, not scary just very very weird. Ones that you can just remember snatches of in waking. One had my father driving through the streets of some big city at about ninety and we were getting chased by firetrucks...I do not understand. I usually only dream before big things in my life and today I have one of them. I am going to start doing side work and I have to meet the client today, so I get to sneak out for a "doctors appt". My boss has something in his employment contract specifying no side work on the side, but in my bosses enormous self-riteousness he decided that I did not need one because I am just a CAD whore. (A CAD whore is a Computer Aided Design person who does a little of everyones shit work) But phoey on him, hopefully I can make some coin doing this. I really wanted to go to Grand Rapids Fray day, but I was busy, I am glad I did not, because the only person who did go did not enjoy themselves, but then again, I am not too sure how much I would enjoy my self. I am not much into that whole beatnik live story type of stuff. But then I again I guess I am glad I did not go. Grand rapids is a big ass hike!

Today is the company golf outing it should be a good time lots of beer and lots of strokes! You see his daughter was born with a severe health thing. I say thing because he adores her, and I remember some of his posts about some of the difficulties concerning his pain and anguish, but I have read his writing and granted I have never exchanged words with him, but I believe it has made him a better man for it. One thing that he wrote was the day his daughter was born he became a man, and now I know how he feels. My son Michael was born Nov 14 2000. When he was born his lungs were undeveloped and he was having trouble breathing. He was not premature, but he just was not breathing, so he was hooked up to all these machines. the birt was paticularlly hard on me and my wife, the anesthiologist had a hard time with the epidural, then My wife had to have a c-section, and it was really hard, she was not allowed to see him so I put on the brave face and I battled with the doctors. but anyways that is the day I became a man.. Oh anyways after a week he was still in the hospital, me and my wife decided that I might as well go back to work. Easier said then done. I can honestly say for the last two months of 2000 I got nothing done. but reading about Fiona made me hopeful. for that I thank you Keith and I hope you and your family enjoy a long and fruitful life on the Chateu au Brown. By the way anyone who does not keep up with the Browns, Fiona just had a very good doctors appointment and she does not need surgery for two years.

One thing I have noticed about the 'net is it takes all my creativity away.. I am very creative in my small circle of life, but compared to everyone else on the net I am not. It also seems that other creative people suffer from the same thing. Case in point the use of the word "rambling". The word "rambling" is one of my favorite words. It very accurately describes my speech and thoughts, When I think, I ramble, when I talk I ramble, I am not a very focused person, and rambling is an adjective that describes me very well. but anyways, you would not believe how many people on the net use that exact same word to describe themselves. Now when I described myself as "rambling" that is the first time most people around me really heard the word... there must just be a limited amount of ideas that circulate around and just get rehashed.. but any waysI just thought of something be back soon!

That last post was stupid

It is now ~6:30 and I am still not motivated! whoever took it please give it back to me

well enough testing.. why is this page named twentytwo? the reason this page is named twenty two is because that is my favorite number.
